Campus Police

The Alvin Community College Police Department's primary goal is to provide a safe environment for all persons who use the campus. The department is staffed with police officers who are commissioned by the State of Texas and are charged with the responsibility of receiving, investigating, and reporting all criminal activities. 

Department policies require that officers immediately respond to, and investigate any criminal offenses or incidents. All investigations that involve students or employees are reported to the appropriate offices for disciplinary action. The College Police Department also provides a variety of services to students and employees, such as motor assists, first aid, lost and found, information, escorts and other services. [more info]

Counseling and Wellness

Alvin Community College has a Licensed Professional Counselor who can assist students with issues that may impact their academic success. Consultation and referrals are kept confidential. There are exceptions to confidentially and a Counselor will review these during the first session. [more info]

Emergency Information

Providing a safe environment for students, guests and employees to learn, participate in personal enrichment activities and work on the campuses is the cornerstone of operations at Alvin Community College. Efforts are made continuously to ensure people and property are protected from harm, such as 24-hour patrols and assistance from Campus Police, mutual aid agreements with local law enforcement agencies, 24-hour access to maintenance personnel, use of a comprehensive communications network, implementation of comprehensive and adaptive emergency plans and more. If an emergency does occur, the College’s goal is to handle it in the most effective manner possible to reduce the likelihood or level of harm to people and property. [more info]
