Counseling Services at ACC
- Alvin Community College employs a licensed counseling professional that follows a short-term, solution-focused theory of counseling and generally see students for one to six sessions. The focus of short-term counseling can include issues related to the transition to college, balancing classes, anxiety, relationship/family difficulties, mild depression, financial problems, and personal issues that may impact one’s academic success.
- Students who need long-term counseling or referrals will be assisted with locating resources in the community. The services offered are intended to assist students in being more successful academically and personally.

Office Hours: A counselor is available Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Go to the Admissions Office, A100 or contact a Counselor by calling 281-756-3531 during business hours.
Emergency: For non-life threatening crisis assistance at ACC during business hours, call 281-756-3531 and ask for a Counselor or come to the Admissions Office in A100. If the office is closed, and this is a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
